zombie book, as the world dies, the first days, rhinnon frater My love for zombie apocalypse fiction has grown exponentially over the last two years mostly in part from reading Rhiannon Frater’s first book in her zombie trilogy.

Although the novel is self published as most zombie novels are, the book was a great read and kept me entertained. The characters are likeable and the storyline continues well into the next two novels.

The first lines in the book are what really drew me in as one of the heroines experiences the “zombification” of her two children.

I have actually read the novel four or five times because it signifies to me the simple and somewhat realistic picture of what could happen if a zombie apocalypse really happened. It describes the breakdown of society and the establishment of a new one in a small fortified Texan town.

There are a few typos and bits of the book are juvenile but I think Ms. Frater has done an excellent job capturing what audiences love most about zombies, their love for warm human flesh!
