Zombie Movies: More Addictive Than Crack Cocaine

Hello, my name is Bob and I am a Zombie Movies Addict. My first day of sobriety was – hmmmm, let me see… how about NEVER! And if you’re thinking about doing some kind of intervention, you had better show up with a court order and a pack of heavily armed U.S. Marshals if you want get MY ass into zombie rehab! Eat your heart out Lindsay!

Planet Terror Zombie Movie, Grindhouse, Zombie Movies But surely I don’t have to tell you that movies filled with gushing gore, flesh eating corpses, and smoking hot vixens are more than just a harmless recreational pastime. The simple fact is, they are even more addictive than crack cocaine and heroin. Just one great movie may be enough to start some lucky soul on a lifelong path of obscene overindulgence and habitual abuse. Soon you find yourself telling your family and friends that you can quit anytime you want – but take my advice – the sooner you just let go and allow it consume your life, the happier you will be!

The Zombie Movies…

Asia Argentino, Land of the Dead, Zombie MoviesYou have probably noticed that there are only about a zillion movies featuring various versions of brain-dead flesh-eating freaks out there – and the genre is expanding every single day (thank god!). With such a bewildering array of films to choose from, it is going to require a multi-pronged attack to put them all into perspective.

For example, just to get an idea of how awesomely huge the library is becoming, take a few moments to check out the mind-bogglingly huge “Every F-ing Zombie Movie Ever Made list” (aka the Giant Zombie Movie List). As you can see, there are enough “date night” movies on that list to keep you occupied every week for the next ten years or so ;-) ) !!

Obviously we need to be able to slice and dice that list so we can zero in on the must see movies. For starters, I am including a more or less “mainstream” best of list. This list contains ten of the most popular and best liked Z-movies ever made. A great starting point for any beginner, it will provide a great educational foundation for anyone interested in pursuing a doctorate in Zombology.
